About Cool for Cats Live

The much-loved record label and grassroots promoter is officially relaunching in 2026, marking a brand new chapter for a project that helped define a generation of DIY indie culture in London.

Back in the late 00s, Cool For Cats made its name the old-school way: ten fully independent, completely sold-out vinyl releases, championing emerging artists long before they broke through. At the same time, it built a loyal following through hundreds of unforgettable live shows — from intimate nights at the Old Blue Last to album release parties at Scala, and all the way to international showcases at SXSW and CMJ.

Over more than a decade, Cool For Cats cemented itself as one of London’s true tastemaker nights: the place to discover your next favourite band, the night promoters and labels would quietly slip into to see what was brewing, and the stage where countless artists cut their teeth.

Now, we’re bringing it back — Cool For Cats is returning as a live promoter, dedicated to creating unforgettable, expertly curated nights built around the best new music.

The ethos hasn’t changed: DIY spirit, impeccable taste, and a genuine love for music. We can’t wait to pick up where we left off… and take it even further this time.
